The Southern Links Trailway is a 10.2 mile trail that connects the communities of Columbiaville, Otter Lake, and Millington. This non-motorized trailway is paved with asphalt
a minimum of 10' wide for hiking and biking with a separate path for those on horseback.
This trailway offers its patrons scenic views of open fields and wetlands, wooded forests
and farm lands.

Trailway Code of Conduct

Rules

• No Littering, camping, open fires, possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages, loitering, hunting on, vulgar language
• No fishing from bridges, jumping from bridges, swimming to or from bridges and throwing, dropping or launching anything from bridges
• No motorized vehicles will be allowed on the trail, with the exception of emergency and maintenance vehicles. Electric motorized wheelchairs are allowed.

• No trespassing on private property
• No blocking the trail.
• Dog's should be on 6 ft leash and under control owners must remove droppings
• All horses properly bridled

Trail Way Etiquette

1. Keep right of trail except to pass allow faster traffic to pass safely
2. Alert when passing by voice or bell
3. All users yield to horses; Cyclists yield to all other users.
4. Yield to slower traffic
5. Travel at safe speeds

Horse Etiquette

1. Use designated equestrian trail
2. Pass at a walk or trot no faster
3. Kicking horse tie a red ribbon on tail as warning

Voluntary

1. Helmets are not required but recommended especially for children
2. Walk bikes across major roadways especially with children
3. NO SMOKING
